Hey guys. I'm looking to go to college for anthropology, and Yale is my first choice based on all non-academic criteria (feel, people, activities ect.). Anyways, I was wondering if any Yale students or others who are knowledgeable on the subject could tell me a thing or two about Yale anthropology.

I know it's far from the biggest major, but is one of the smallest? Any idea about the number of kids studying anthro at Yale? Anything unique or special about the program you can tell me? Anything else that I didn't mention?

According to the above, there are about 20 anthropology majors in each class, on par with many other disciplines (philosophy, sociology, computer science, and environmental studies, for example)

I think our bio anthro is really strong, and the anthro program more generally is also really good. I have a few friends who majored in it and loved it.

Also - how hard is it to get into anthropology/archeology undergraduate admission at Harvard? How hard is the competition?
Both Yale and Harvard have the peobady museum resources.

The Harvard Peabody and the Yale Peabody are not the same institution. They are separate museums, created the same year with gifts from the same person.
