So when (time and date) exactly do results come out?

@jkp2495 as far as we know, this Friday, December 14th, at 5 pm

My interviewer was friends with Elizabeth Meriwether (creator of New Girl) at Yale :p

@chickenladder thats awesome!

So i know this is a little late because the topic of conversation kinda switched…im a little behind on this cc thread…but for all of you guys out there who were wondering if you were too risky with the short answers, one of the readers from Yale came to my school and that was a question I asked, and she said not to worry too much about them, and to have fun with those short takes, and they just read down through them kind of like a checklist, most are normal answers, and if you have a little fun it is more fun for them to read, but it is not what makes or breaks an application at all…so no reason to be nervous, at least about this!

Also I think I am going to be spared the crazy nerves by overloading myself with work, practice, and himym, old episodes of suits, and the daily show on hulu :D

Knew I should’ve done a list of one-liners.

@chickenladder that’s amazing! i hope i meet someone like that wherever i end up going (:

also can anyone else just about recite their common app essay by heart?

[Countdown to Dec 14, 2012 5:00 PM in New Haven](<a href=“Countdown Timer – Time since Dec 14, 2012 5:00 pm started in New Haven”>Countdown Timer – Time since Dec 14, 2012 5:00 pm started in New Haven)

Accepted- beyond ecstatic
Deferred- still happy, hopeful
Rejected- Life will have no meaning + four long months in purgatory
yeah…

Have you all already thought about where you’re going to be when you read the email and who you’re going to tell first?

Philo, that is not okay. Aghhhh.

I’m be in my room with a locked door…

And yeah, I’m fully expecting deferral as well. But I keep having daydreams of what I’ll do if I’m accepted.

I’ll be in school when it happens… the first person Im telling is my guidance councillor, she’s been the most vital and helpful throughout this process!

It’ll be 11pm when I find out, so I’ll be telling anyone who’s awake :p

Where do you live, ChickenLadder, if you don’t mind me asking?

Also, did anyone here share their app with NUS?

In France, I’m a dual-citizen. I don’t go to the American School of Paris though, I go to a proper French public school to the south of Paris.

Whatever happens, acceptance, deferral, rejection, this is but a fork in the road, and whatever direction we end up taking won’t take us too far from where we wanted to go. Yale is an incredible opportunity, but in the end we make our own lives; its up to us.

Your guidance councillor? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/high-school-life/1239754-teacher-being-unfair-illegal-2.html (funneh throwback).

ChickenLadder, I have a friend at the American School of Paris!

I will bring my self-bought laptop downstairs into our fancy “don’t go in with your shoes on or at all if you are under 18” living room, surround myself with my family, and turn up the volume loud.

Then if I’m rejected (or deferred, which I will assume means rejection), I’ll ask everyone to leave as I curl into the fetal position and play my playlist at a conveniently already-high volume.

I’m all set!

haha i have the feeling i’ll be checking on my phone in some starbucks in the city surrounded by strangers in between appointments
