Im applying to:

Boston College
Columbia
Cornell
Duke
Northwestern
Williams

Unfortunately dont have any national awards or competitions. Getting really good recs from my AP teachers from last year. Essays about my experience on an inner city detroit track team my mom coached and how that taught me about values of diversity. Very passionate about running as is evident with marathon and dedication to cross country and track.
Sorry its so long but its better chances if you know everything, whatever you can give me is great,
Thanks.

Clearly you have an offer from Michigan. Why no Chicago if you have NW?

i dont know i thought uchicago was just looking for a different person than me and ya i did get an offer from uofm a week ago or so.

I really wouldn’t take Yale’s rejection as seriously as you seem to be taking it. Yale is a giant reach for anyone, and I’ve heard that the acceptance rate for EA is actually lower than the one for RD.

I think you have good chances at BC, Williams, and Cornell, and the others are reaches for anyone.

Williams does stick out, though, since it’s so small and so rural.

ya im applying there because they just made some massive financial aid thing my mom read and she is making me apply

yeah i wouldnt give up just yet

but just to be clear teenage-cliche the acceptance rate for ea is much higher than rd…idk where u heard it was the other way around…perhaps u heard it was easier to get in rd because the applicants are less competitive but i would doubt that even that was true

your act score is probably what got you. you still have competitive chances at the rest, and even if they all reject you, um isnt a bad school

don’t stop believing

Wms is as good or better school for an undergrd than any listed. A small LAC w/ personal att’n, beautiiful campus, and great golf course (at least the first few holes anyway…).

You have a 31 on the ACT, an 800 in Math ONE C, and only THREE AP classes (by the end of junior year). Check the other stats of the people who got into Yale, and you’ll see that your stats are not as strong as the other applicants.

On another note, grow a pair. Just because you did not get into one of the most prestigious colleges in the nation does not mean your life is over. Life is difficult and things never go your way. Deal with it.

DUDE F*** that, man!! F*** yale, dont let that school demoralize you. u have a great shot at them other schools
