silly skewed facts, he was a C student a yale. damn canadians

I think it's a good idea (especially in Canada). I wouldn't take offense Yale people...Yale obviously a great university. In the light the college is putting it, they are actually saying it is too (well...except for the whole Bush going there lol)

Yale people: Get off your high horse(s) and learn to take a joke

lol i love how no yale people have replied yet

Yale doesn't make you smart, it just makes you President

What this really amounts to is little more than free advertising for Yale. The fact that it's in a position to be "swiped" at gives it more stature. The same can be said for "Who Needs Harvard?"

Indeed. You'll never see "who needs Cornell?" on the front of TIME/Newsweek

Well that's next weeks cover...jerk lol :)

What did Bush major in?

EDIT: I should have bothered to actually search for it (he majored in History).

he majored in history :D.

Byerly, how's Romney looking for 08 at the moment?

Too early to say. But I wouldn't rule him out for a place on the ticket. An ability to make the difference in several states - and I don't mean Massachusetts. I was on the MA "Draft Romney" committee three year's back.

That is why I asked.

Do you really think he'll settle for the VP slot to a McCain or Giuliani? If he can damage Dem dominance in the Northeast, it would be a priceless addition.

I am unaware of many people who ever turned down the VP slot when and if it was offered to them. McCain, IMHO, is too old; Giuliani, though I like him, is a long shot to get the nomination. A bald guy will always be an underdog. Romney, Frist, the coach's son and others have better hair.

I would think Bush going to Yale is a reason not to go there.

"The coach's son?"

Senator Allen.

Oh, I think Allen shot himself in the foot with his recent comments. He's too much like Bush to win the nomination.

Most of us wouldnt appreciate other countries insulting the leadership of Canada, so why do we feel its okay to do the same? This is typical of some leftists in this country. They can dish out the abuse in spades, yet if someone were to insult something Canadian, they would be up in arms about it. Why dont Canadians try minding their own affairs for a change? Even if you dont like Bush (I dont), unless youre an American, its really not our place to be firing insults at the President.

As an Alumni of LU I am disgusted. Yale is a respected university, worldwide. Mr. Bush. while many of the Lefties at LU may disagree with ideologies, it is wrong to put down the leader of a nation we are trying to rebuild relations with. Lakehead could do good to attract American students. I will no longer support LU nor recommend it to anyone until this stops.

No, I dont think it is very appropriate. First and foremost, it is something I would think we as Canadians would choose to rise above than follow along with all the others who seem to take pleasure in poking fun at people for their shortcomings no matter what they may be. Secondly, it is demeaning to the thousands of graduates and students at LU who are accomplished, productive and highly respected individuals in their chosen field. I was always told that "if they are talking about you, then they are sparing someone else!" And if that is true let us pray, the next target for a bold new marketing campaign wouldnt be a graduate from LU who has made a name for themselves if someone like President Bush wasnt around.
