I desperately need your advice, because I'm an international student form Russia, who has no opportunity to visit any of the above-stated universities. Among the colleges, which admitted me, I am choosing from Yale, Stanford and Princeton.

I am a journalist, though I plan to major in political science plus economy. And afterwards I want to apply to a prestige law school. I plan to write for a college newspaper and also do drama and dance.
I like studying hard, but at the same time I want to have a bunch of the extracurricular activities in college. I've learnt a lot about these colleges in the previous threads, but I want to know what will be the best choice for a person with social sciences inclination.

So what college would you advise me, Americans?

Those are all great academic choices for you. Yale may have a bit of an edge if your main extracurricular interests are drama and dance. Another thing to consider is the kind of environment you would prefer. Yale is in a fairly urban setting, whereas Stanford and Princeton are in suburban settings. If you would enjoy cold, snowy winters, pick Yale or Princeton; if you prefer a more temperate climate, choose Stanford.

Of those three, I would pick Yale, especially if you’re interested in polysci and planning to go to law school. Yale would probably also offer you a better taste of “America”; you’d have the opportunity to travel up and down the East Coast, become a member of the “Ivy League,” travel to New York City and perhaps visit some of the other prestigious college campuses in the northeast. California would be a much different (and equally exciting) experience; but if what you’re looking for is the “traditional American education,” Yale is your best bet.
