Yale vs Stanford for an agonizing senior

Though I'm aware this is possibly the 100th similar thread, I'd like to add a few details to my situation and post it onto both Yale and Stanford's forum. Input, please!

-Spent childhood in Berkeley, CA; Spent last 10 years in Madison, WI
-No definite major; Ideas: Languages, International Relations, Psychology, Law, Drama, Politics
(probably not any science/math)
-Loves to act, write, sing; interested in politics/govt type extracurriculars (internships, etc)
-Hates the cold, loves the California sun
-Likes to stay up all night talking about philosophy BUT also likes being laid back, going to parties

As you can see, I've got bits and pieces from what people say are the strengths of both schools. I'm sure I'd be happy either way, and I'm lucky to have this choice.
That said,
Any input?

It’s obvious that Stanford is where you want to be so make the leap.

You sound like the quintessential Yalie. I’ll let current students elaborate on that, but I just want to point out that from the standpoint of weather New Haven, while not Palo Alto, is also not Madison. We’re from your neck of the woods, and my son at Yale considers the winter in New Haven pretty balmy by our standards.

nextbigthing: I did apply early to Stanford, so I put my eggs in that basket and assumed I wouldn’t get into Yale. That said, I don’t think my post leaned towards Stanford, if anything I’d think the opposite? Anyways, nah, I don’t have a clear leap to make yet :)

I don’t have time to write another epic monologue and I don’t use this site much anymore. That said, I made the choice b/w the two and I chose Yale and have never looked back a second. I am also from Bay Area.

“(probably not any science/math)” Although I wouldn’t necessarily suggest Stanford to math/science ppl, the cases in which I think it makes the most sense are science/math. That is irrelevant for you.

“Loves to act, write, sing; interested in politics/govt type extracurriculars (internships, etc)” Are you kidding me? You sound EXACTLY like the quintessential Yalie.

“Hates the cold, loves the California sun” Edge to Stanford. But New Haven is not Wisconsin cold (like 25 degrees in the worst of the winter). Don’t decide based on this alone.

“Likes to stay up all night talking about philosophy BUT also likes being laid back, going to parties” Sounds EXACTLY like Yale. Last night I was up until 4 am discussing philosophy and life and the night before I was partying. Stanford also likes to have fun, but I noticed that intellectualism/philosophy/etc was much more taboo on campus (more sports etc).

Simple choice: You are a Yalie.

For someone else, the choice may be more difficult… but for you I don’t have to hesitate for a second except to say that where you go to college and college culture etc matters infinitely more than the weather.

Here’s a recent thread where I input what I viewed were significant differences btn the two:
