Yale Vs Stanford SCEA?

I am a Canadian who is planning to apply SCEA to either Yale or Stanford and trying to decide between the two. I am leaning towards Stanford and will likely apply there SCEA as I prefer the school over Yale. However, I'm just wondering if there's anything I should know about the SCEA trends of either school, such as favourability to Canadians, if they prefer to accept rather than defer in the SCEA round, etc? Anything helpful would be welcome; thanks!

This is also assuming I don't apply for FA for Stanford (as it is need-aware for internationals).

See this thread for some discussion on this topic (actually the question is whether they prefer to deny or defer in the SCEA round ;)):

Can’t speak for Yale, but there is no strategic advantage to applying to Stanford early. The only benefit is finding out Stanford’s decision early.

I higher percentage of people are admitted to Stanford early than in RD, but thats also because more hot shots are applying early than in RD (Stanford talks about this openly).

So if Stanford is your number 1 choice and your application isn’t going to get any better by spending more time on essays or getting straight A’s on all of your first semester classes, then I’d suggest applying to Stanford early.

I made the same choice last year. Stanford or Yale… I decided to apply to Yale early.

Basically I was sick of seeing palm trees. I don’t regret my decision. :)
