Yale vs. UChicago vs. Columbia vs. Stanford

Hello! I just received some exciting and surprising acceptances to Yale, UChicago, Columbia, and Stanford for the class of 2024.
At Columbia, I got a likely letter back in February and was selected to be part of the John Jay National Scholars Program, which is something I am very, very excited about. At UChicago I received some merit aid along with a grant for a summer research/internship/study abroad program. I am looking to major in History, Public Policy or International Relations, English, or possibly even Economics. Post college I either want to attend law school or get a PhD.
I want to make my priorities clear: even though I know that many consider Yale and Stanford to be “better” schools, prestige is not the most important piece to my decision. In my opinion, each of these schools is fantastic and simply has slightly different strengths. Basically, I want to go off of fit, not rank. I also think it’s significant that Columbia and UChicago have been my dream schools for several years and I didn’t think I was going to apply to Stanford or Yale until this year— of course, that doesn’t diminish my excitement at my acceptance, but it is something to note.
My priorities include: campus culture/traditions, access to internships and career counseling within the college, individual attention, fun social scene, and a strong gen eds/core curriculum. I like the quarter system but am apprehensive about its difficulty compared to semester.
Unfortunately I am unable to visit any campuses for admitted student days, but luckily the only campus I haven’t seen and toured is Yale. I would also love additional insight on Yale campus/New Haven surrounding/student life.
Finally: any thoughts on the engagement/opportunities from the John Jay program at Columbia and Chicago summer aid compared to what I would find at Stanford or Yale?
Thanks so much!

congrats! Did you make a college decision reaction video? Potentially with another person? If not then ya’ll are the same person.

All of your choices are great so unless you have a favorite or one offering a free ride, it’s difficult to pick one.

My 2 cents. Go west, young man. It’s warmer and nicer.
