got waitlisted for ASE. And there I was banking everything on this.
Hey guys, I was wondering when will international students receive visa letters? I have answered that online form and said that I need one.
@gigichuck i feel the same. we still have a chance though
Hi! I’m accepted to SEE :)) I’m from Vietnam
oh, sorry for the emoji, i didnt expect it to be like that
PLE is the most difficult to get into.
Is PLE the largest program (in terms of people they accept) as well?
PLE, IAS, and SEE accepted 250 and BBS, ASE, TIE accepted 200
How hard is it to get into the program in general - is it very prestigious?
@ivydreamer123 Extremely.
For those of you who were accepted, when is the reply deadline? I’m assuming they’ll start moving people off the waitlist after then.
I would love to attend the BBS session. But as of now, all I can do is wait and hope that the opportunity comes (I was waitlisted).
I am also thinking about the Boston Leadership and other pre college courses which earn you actual college credit (a semester)!
I was wondering if you guys could share your experiences in YYGS on this thread after the process, and any tips you would give to future applicants! Congratulations to all that were accepted, and to those who are wait listed hopefully we get the opportunity!
Please disregard my post. I found my answer: “you may be notified any time after April 14 if a place in the program becomes available.”
.
Hey! I am also accepted to ASE as an international student.
@smilingalong Is it? I plan on going but the cost made me hesitate. 2013’s admission rate was 23%, 2014’s - 37.5%, 2015’s - 27.3%, and this year is most likely going to be higher. The program seems pretty well-known but what exactly makes it “prestigious”? Would really appreciate a reply.
@Islingr I was a bit deterred by the stats too (aka sunk into a bit of a depression because I didn’t get in with a 30% acceptance rate) but my friend claims that everybody who applies is super accomplished so it’s very competitive. And I’m assuming that the fact that it’s an international leadership institute at Yale makes it “prestigious.”
@puretruth yeah, I agree with you. which session did you apply to?
@Islingr The admissions rate this year was the lowest ever, they said. I’d assume something like 20%. It is very prestigious because %'s lie. The median ACT I believe is a 34 for acceptees. Everyone applying is basically insanely talented.
@gdpast323 ASE, waitlisted. you?
