I’m still confused why YYGS is extremely prestigious. Doesn’t it have a 30% acceptance rate? How does it compare with programs such as MIT Launch, Princeton SJP, and MITES? Congrats to everyone who got accepted, by the way!

@annie4564 The prestige is due to the quality of the program. I would not get too hung up on the acceptance rate, as to some extent, the applicants are self-selecting.
The admissions rate this year was ~20% with a median ACT of 34. It is highly selective. Everyone who applied was very talented and smart. @annie4564 @londondad
Guys I paid for my enrollment deposit through wire transfer and I sent them the receipt. They replied, thanked me blablabla but my portal still shows that the deposit is “awaiting”. I have not received the link for the Facebook page or anything. I sent another email and they still haven’t replied I don’t know what to do! Does anyone know how wire transfers are supposed to go ? Thanks!

Yes. Their previous admissions rates were about: 37%, 27%, 23% and they said this year was the lowest ever which would indicate a guesstimate of 20%. @EmmyWq
@booknerd99 When did you do the wire transfer? All I know is that it could take up to 5 days before the payment goes through, especially if it is an international wire transfer, but usually it takes less

and yep it is indeed an international wire transfer. But if it arrives after the deadline even though I sent the receipt, will The payment be denied ?
@booknerd99 If you have sent the receipt to them I believe there should be no problem and the payment will probably go through any day now so you shouldn’t worry!

@redseas Actually, it’s a really prestigious program and looks really fun and educational. I wouldn’t have applied if I didn’t actually want to attend the program itself.
