Thanks guys I appreciate it!!

You have good grades, but nothing stands out other than your “internship at a prestigious lab in cancer research”. Thousands of other kids with stats equivalent to yours (at least in the eyes of admission officers) are applying to the schools you listed (which I believe is particularly stereotypical in your case). You’ll get into good schools, but what makes you stand out that’ll get you into princeton or stanford?

You’re the editor of your city’s newspaper? Lol?

@cortana431: I meant city’s youth newspaper. LOL.

bump. Please give me any advice!

Yeah I agree, there’s not a whole lot of “stand out” stuff in your application (except the internship and clarinet). It’s a little hard to say, because rec letters, interview, etc. also play a role.

I don’t think Harvard, Stanford, or Princeton are in your reach. However, I may be wrong due to the various non-quant measures.

I think that while your stats are great (No ACT? while that’s a great SAT score, taking the ACT as well won’t hurt), as others have said, your EC’s are weak. Other than that internship and those editor positions, nothing stands out. Stats alone though, I’d say you have as decent a shot as anyone.
