I wonder if anyone knows where to buy an Emory University yard sign to display for newly admitted students?
Never heard of such a thing but I’m sure any sign shop like those who do graduation signs can knock one out for you.
Maybe you can order a flag of some sort from the college books store.
I have never seen a sign like this in our area.
I see many yard signs in my area for other universities (not Emory). So I was wondering about this. I will ask around.
When we went to OC NJ last summer, there were college flags flying from a ton of houses. That’s why I suggested a flag…which you can then use and use again for special Emory events…or just to show your school spirit.
We had car decals…
Yard flags are common for schools with major Division I football teams. As Emory does not have a football team, flags, banners, & yard signs may not be readily available. Interesting idea, however.
Plenty of flags and banners available through the Emory bookstore.
Why would you want to do this?
Congratulations on your child’s acceptance to Emory!
I just wonder about the kids who don’t get into their first choice (or second, or third choice) school, or who get shut out. Admissions season isn’t unalloyed joy for all. Totally celebrate privately, but consider how public demonstrations might feel to those not so lucky. I feel the same way about Facebook announcements, which probably puts me at one end of the spectrum of celebrating admissions.
Btw, my point isn’t so much directed at the OP, as it is at the whole community that apparently has this tradition.
I have no issues celebrating something you’re happy about.
