I have no idea what this UC Merced count me in thing is. But just cuz you got rejected by LA and SD doesn’t mean you can’t get any other UC like Riverside, santa cruz, etc.

I thought UCR only considers ppl who applied for them now instead of UC rejects.

Yeah UCR is doing that now. :] I guess the Merced Count me in Thing is for ppl who are automatically accepted if they dont get into any other UC lol

all this chat is making me worried :(

do you guys know anyone who actually received a rejection yet? (specifically from an engineering major)

Nobody has gotten rejection yet since they send out rejections on the last day.

On a better note UCSB admissions come out tomorrow at 4pm. ;]

the Merced “count me in” program is basically they asked people back in Feb. (who didn’t apply to Merced) to apply for free. I heard it’s sent to people who the other UCs rejected so yeah… @__@ I think it’s a ploy for the UCs to keep their promise of “you’ll be accepted into the UC system” (just not the one you really want) --

Probably. At least the UCs are nice enough to do that +1 brownie points for them ;]. It’s just mainly for the ppl who weren’t able to get into riverside or people who didn’t bother applying to the lower UC and got rejected from the mid-high ones.

***… i didnt get one. rejected from ucsd and ucla… where is mine :(

A LOT of people have not heard from UCI, including students whose GPA and test scores are above the average. It looks like this year the admissions office decided to hold back responses until late March. Good luck to everyone.

Andrew69: if you got in to UCR i don’t think you get one

yeah I don’t think they sent out the count me in program to people who were already accepted to somewhere else?

is a 3.87 gpa and 1910 SAT average for UCI? O____O…

According to UCI their average was a 4.01 gpa and around an 1873 SAT. I have doubts though since if you look at the other posts in the UCI forum not everyone had a 4.0+ or anything though alot did.

i did apply to merced or riverside… i am so ***kked if i get rejected from ucsb and uci

Then you don’t need merced’s count me in thing since I think you should have gotten into merced and riverside if you’re hanging about UCI lol.

yeah what are your stats Andrew?

tssss 4.01 my assets :o My friends who have around 3.5 gpa and 1600 SAT were accepted a long time ago

& @Andrew lol yeah… Count me in is only if you didn’t apply to Merced

i mean i did not apply to merced and riverside*

that’s like the same exact status I have… do you think I’ll get rejected?..
