So many people in my school (and I go to an international school) have been accepted though I'm not sure if its because of their major or their stats. I know that some people in my school that haven't heard back from UCI have better stats then those accepted... I'm just wondering how are they releasing the decisions? Is there a particular order or something? Do they review your application base on when you submitted your application?

Also did anyone get rejected yet? I'm getting really more nervous as we're approaching to March... and I'm getting even more uneasy when I don't see anyone being accepted to the major I have applied T___T

O_O @ “During March admission notifications are posted prior to 9:00 a.m. No admission status changes will occur for the remainder of the day.” I saw this on the portal… so that means they will be releasing a small group of decisions each day before 9am right?

I applied last year and I am going here now. I remember that the really amazing students were accepted in early February and then the harder decisions were sent out in mid Feb to early March. My friend who had about a 4.5 got hers in really early February and I got mine on February 18.

You can check out mychances dot net to see your chance of getting in and to see who has been accepted and rejected so far. Hope I helped :)

It really is hard to stay focused in school during this month, I seriously check that thing everyday but it isn’t changing! The only thing that changed is “Decisions will be posted prior to 9am”

Are they done by priority students or major? So basically, the longer it takes for them to tell you the greater chance you have of being rejected?

after reading past irvine threads and stuff, it seems that the month of febuary is focused on Regents/CHP applicants (doesn’t apply to me lol), and then march is when the regular kids are accepted. They are released in waves throughout march, supposedly between 12 and 9 am. they way they release the status changes are supposed to be completely random.
