Your DREAM job

If you could have any job and it is guaranteed, what would it be? Are you currently pursuing that dream career, are you currently working in that dream career (congrats), or have you quit/never tried because it seems out of reach and you seem to go with something else more practical/stable/less competitive just to be fed?

My dream job is President of the United States.

My more realistic goal is District Attorney.

neurosurgeon-here i come 12 years and debt!!!

The 12 years is one thing…but with a neurosurgeon’s salary, the debt would go away pretty fast and you’d be living comfortably. :P

Retired Microsoft CEO and Founder.

More realistic: Math Professor at a Prestigious University

perpetual student ;)

I can’t believe I forgot Major League Baseball Player.

High school history and economics teacher with very comfortable salary & fringe benefits, diligent students, and no incompetent administration.

Realistic career: somewhere in the corporate world?

barn owner and trainer- 30 acres, a successful show team and lesson program.

manger for US equestrian team

USEF event coordenator

High School Math and Physics teacher, which is what I’m pursuing now (money isn’t everything! Lol).

But I would also like to get into politics (senator?), which is a dream career but one I will hopefully pursue later on!

werd

Being retired and stanky rich because you started up a company that went public wouldn’t be a bad way to live either.

Being a published author, I doubt it though, growing up poor has no benefits except a life of regret. :(

A Hollywood actor.

An airline pilot. Too bad the airline industry is going down the crapper. My realistic choice is an economics or political science professor at a prestigious university.

Let’s see, I think I’d have multiple dream jobs at once: magazine writer/editor, english professor, intellectual property lawyer or child advocacy lawyer, published fiction author, song writer, political speech writer, lobbyist, the new Samantha Brown on the Travel Channel, Starbucks barista (not joking there…check my username ;))… I could go on forever…ooh and since everyone in Hollywood seems to be doing it, I gotta add to my already lengthy list creating my own perfume line…hehe.

OOO, no Best job hands down right here: the Driver of the Cash Cab! You can bet that when Ben Bailey retires, I’ll be sending in a resume to the Discovery Channel…

My dream job is a toll person.

You know, the person who collects money at pay tolls. =)

Right now I say I’d like to do something manual - like fishing or something - but who knows what I’d want when I’m 50 with back problems.

I’m sure most of you have seen the “work with your hands” articles circulating the web lately. Similar reasons.

Prospective job: the guy who keeps the ‘nuclear button’ working.

Dream job: the officer who actually gets to press said ‘nuclear button’.

Dream job (1): Astronautical engineer for NASA
Dream job (2): one of those engineers who build million dollar humanoid robots in Japan that don’t serve any practical purpose.
Dream job (3): MechEngineer for the military
