YOUR Experience at interviews

On the topic of interviews, my Andover one was very iffy. I was only applying because of my parent’s perceptions of “prestige”, and I wasn’t convinced that it was the best school for me. The tour was great-I could tell that the guide really loved the school. However, I was very quiet throughout the tour, since I wasn’t sure whether I could see myself among 1,000+ students (I like a smaller school, personally…the big student body was part of why I didn’t apply to Exeter).

My skepticism showed with my interview. I don’t think the interviewer was very impressed…but at least, this time, it wasn’t a coach that interviewed me!

(There was such a clash of profiles with my Taft interview; It was hard to understand the different viewpoints; I’m still not sure whether I left with a positive impression or not. I have the sneaking suspicion it was the latter, since there was no reply to my thank-you letter :P)

GoldenRatio, I always enjoy your posts and sense of humor. Just wanted to reassure you that it is not customary in the adult world to reply to thank-you notes, so don’t read too much into the non-reply. Good luck with your candidacy!

Thank you, Brother! sighs happily with relief Great to know that a lack of reply doesn’t reflect on the applicant! laughs at how the thanks came out
