@abasket , Iā€™m not sure which app @jym626 uses, but I use camelcamelcamel to watch for price drops on Amazon.

My tip is to be sure to label whatever youā€™re freezing (pro tip: write on the bag before you fill it)! Frozen taco meat can look like pulled pork, etc. We label with what it is, how much it weighs, and the date we put it in the freezer.

DH noticed LLBean $50 gift cards on sale at BJs for $39.99

And Lowes $75 cards for $65 or so.

We will be going tomorrow to get those!!

For those of you cutting the cable on your TV, the Roku Ultra is $69 at Roku.com. Usually $99. Amazon also has it for $69, but theirs is a refurbished item.

For yourself or for people you know - even a good gift idea! I bought 3 figuring either Iā€™ll use or my kids would take one.

Those ornament holders will be great for separating my kidsā€™ ornaments. One has her own house now and can take hers. The other is not yet ready to take her own (but hope she will in the next few years. I have big bins with all our ornaments in them but will be able to convert those to other storage.

It is really time to purge but I canā€™t throw away the ornaments they made in 1st grade or at girl scouts! We have a lot of ornaments with their names on them too.

Edit: In thinking about this, Iā€™m going to sort out my daughterā€™s ornaments and give them to her for her birthday (Dec 14). Sheā€™ll like this box because it is neat and tidy and she loves things organized. She said she wants to put up a lot of tress this year (first year with a house) and also asked me for a tree she saw in the storage shed. I think it would be fun for her to have a small tree with all her old ornaments on it.

I was gonna put this in Holiday gift threadā€¦ but the purchase if for me. After procrastinating about purchase of an immersion blender (LOL - I think that was covered in the soup thread), I decided to try this one at Kohls. On sale for $22, minus $12 rebateā€¦ so net cost of about $10.

It has a 4.8/5 rating, so hopefully it will work well for my ocassional use.

While Iā€™m here, Iā€™ll mention Kohls has some good bra deals too (thru 11/25) ā€¦ without the frequent requirement of buying two. Example - a Warners style I like for $14.44

Thanks for the tip on the bra deals! Just found the one I like for $12.98!

I probably should have waited til today. My order (which included gifts) went over $50. Today there is $15 Kohls cash, which I donā€™t think I got last night.

For people in or planning to visit the San Diego area, you can buy vouchers for Triton Charter for $20 today only, good any time in the future. Itā€™s a pleasant low key sail around San Diego Bay, including under the Coronado Bridge, with drinks and snacks available for purchase onboard.

I was too slow in ordering the one @abasket posted, but I got another one like it. It came and I sorted the ornaments today. Not as many as I thought but I think sheā€™ll like them to get her started. Sheā€™s Chinese so there are some that I bought over the years when we traveled or at Chinese camp. Her sister had more personalized ones, and she like Nutcrackers, so I put a lot of those in her box.

I thought I had more homemade ones from their daycare and grade school, but maybe they had to be tossed over the years. I did have to throw out a few today that were made with food (flour, water, candy canes) that didnā€™t make it through storage.

I hope she likes it. And I dug out an extra tree that she said she wanted too.

When my kids were little they kept the white tabletop tree in their room all year long as a nightlight. Weā€™d decorate it every month with a new theme, like snowmen, St. Paddyā€™s day, summer, 4th of Julyā€¦that was pretty fun.

My good buy of the day yesterday was steak. I was at the store and noticed they had B1G1 on London Broil. Because Iā€™m cheap, I was looking through all the packages to find two that were similarly priced. $12, $13, $16ā€¦then I found one reduced to $6.38. And a second one at $6.38! I asked one of the meat men if it was still B1G1 and he said yes, that they shouldnā€™t have been marked down but Iā€™d still get one free.

And I did. Four pounds of steak for $6.38.

I always look for similarly priced too for BOGO!

Got great hotel rates for Bar Harbor with the OPAL Collection Cyber Monday sale

Costco had pork loin at $.99/pound! It was unexpected but I bought a 9.5 pounder and made it into 2 pork roasts, 4 thick pork chops, 8 thin pork chops, 2 packets of stir fry strips and some stew meat. I separated everything into meal-size portions and labeled and froze so I have meat for many meals.

Got some very nice Christmas and Chanukah gift wrap discounted 75% at Bartells Drug. Some of the wrap is rather generic (gold foil, for example), so can be used for other occasions. Lots of chocolates, also 75% off, but I did not see any lights.

I bought a lot of xmas wrapping paper years ago at Target when it was 90% off. I have a lifetime supply. Probably 2 lifetimes worth.

I did get some herseyā€™s kisses at the Kroger today for 70% off. And some peppermint flavored hot chocolate but Iā€™m not sure it was such a great deal to even go to the grocery store. It was $41 and I swear all I bought was a gallon of milk ($2) and 2 loafs of bread (2 for $5). How did it get to $41? I didnā€™t even buy eggs which are like $5.50 a dozen!
