Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 2)

Superfeet insoles are 25% off

They are still pricey ($41 for my Run support high arch model). But ever since having a bit of plantar fasciitis last year I like to have plenty of support. And… it helps me extend the life of my pricey Saucony running shoes to have new insoles. Did some experimenting to find they fit into my ski boots and snow boots too, which both have deteriorating insoles - for that I can use older Superfeet, use the newest for running.

My husband does the same. Older Superfeet in his snowboard boots. I think they are also on sale right now at REI.

Thanks! You are right - on same sale at REI. (Plus REI members would get 15% applied toward annual rebate.)

I think REI rebates only apply to full price items. At least that’s how it worked in the past.

Thanks. Looking it up now, I have two corrections (REI rebate not for sale items; 10% not 15%)
Every year in March, REI Members get 10% back on everything they’ve purchased over the past year, excluding sale items and REI travel, classes, and adventures . This dividend can be redeemed at an REI store, REI.com, REI Outlet, for an REI adventure travel trip, or via the REI app

Still helpful tidbit above though since now I have something useful to apply our rebate next year.

Absolutely! It is helpful because REI has good customer support and return policy.

I just used my REI rebate from last March. You can USE it on sale items, and it even covers tax.

Yes, that is correct. You DO NOT get a 10% rebate on the money you paid for any sale or discounted items, just full-price ones.

Hey savvy shoppers, any recommendations for delivery of a Thanksgiving/fall flower arrangement? (address is in Poughkeepsie NY, but I am thinking I’d need to use a national order website)

Those are 3 florists in Poughkeepsie with google ratings of 4.8 or higher.

I always called my mom’s local florist to have flowers delivered to her rather than pay a fee to a third party. Good luck!

Thanks for those links. I started down the path for all three. The tricky things is that you have to get pretty far (further than I’ve been willing to go at the moment) before seeing the local delivery fee.

Many grocery stores have nice arrangements and free (or $5) delivery.

My sister sends flowers to her daughter quite often using Amazon Prime/Whole Foods. Usually for about $50 she can send flowers, candy or another treat (fruit plate, pastries, depending on the location, wine).

This is where we bought produce and such when we were in Poughkeepsie. They had a store. karl ehmer farm - Google Search

They had more than meat back then.

We, not she. I went there. They used to have a store in downtown Poughkeepsie.

THANKS! The Adams flower basket was delivered this morning, and it was a big hit. I thought the $15 delivery fee was reasonable.

@jym636 - Fun to hear a local term, karl elmer. DId not know they had a store but have passed the farm.

Next I’ll need to start working on the waxed amaryllis bulbs for Christmas. I’ve heard that Costco has them, and we recently joined. But hubby thinks we should go to the trouble to get them at Trader Joe’s since they’ve been a a big hit the past few years. Truly, we have multiple recipients per year who proudly send us photos when their gift blooms.

I checked the Karl Ehmer’s website- Looks like the store in Poughkeepsie is gone but there are several others. Who is in Poughkeepsie?

I’m glad it worked out!!

I haven’t seen them in my Trader Joe’s yet - they are usually here by now. I did buy a box of 3 at Costco and they are huge, I hop they bloom as nicely as the TJ bulbs.
