Only a few hours left on this Target deal……I was in the store today and bought a few smaller gift cards but the cashier told me that she bought hers online with the discount ($500 limit) and while she bought a couple as gifts, the rest of her order - to make her total up to $500 she just bought in a card for herself to use through out the year. At 10% off that’s a $50 savings for someone who maybe shops at target a lot!!! Just thought I’d share that.
Great idea about Target deal. I used to get gift cards there a lot, might have been worth being Circle member.
This seems like a pretty good deal from REI. One sale for @33 from @70

I’m a Prana fan. Deciding… some of the reviews are ehhhh, some are good…
West Elm and company stores also have sale today (only?)

I filtered “low to high” prices and there are some fun small gifts that would be good to have on hand.
I noticed that too. It’s an easy return for me if it doesn’t work, so I figured worth the risk.
How did I not know that Williams Sonoma was part of the West Elm - Pottery Barn umbrella of brands?
Prana’s always hit or miss for me. I have some leggings & outerwear that I like but some tops that seem cheaply made. I used to love their stuff 10+ years ago when hardly anyone was doing “athleisure”.
I have to say this somewhere, so here I am…
I am really having a hard time not buying anything with all the sale info. including free shipping showing up in my inbox today.
I guess the best “good buy” is buying nothing? Only 3.5 hours… I can do it!
I know, right? Kohl’s finally got me - here’s 30%, here’s $5, here’s free shipping, here’s $10 because we cancelled your blender order. I finally bit and reordered the blender - not as good a deal as I should have had ($39 ship to store); instead paid $56 shipped to home via UPS. And it actually arrived last night and I’ve already used it.
Then Kohl’s offered another lighting 40% off with free shipping over $35. So I called son and asked if there was anything he needed for the apartment. He said a new toaster oven - and now a Emeril Lagasse Power Air Fryer 360 is on its way for $96. Not a great buy but a good one.
Yesterday we took our $10 off $50 Total Wine coupons to check out the new store - first one in San Diego County and OMG - what a great store! So much better than BevMo. It reminds me of Binnie’s back in Oak Brook Illinois. Admittedly I didn’t need the Borgata Chocolate & Orange Liqueur on top of the Champagne we picked for NYE - but how could I resist!
Total Wine is great, but the one here has the WORST parking lot! It’s not just my opinion, it was voted one of the ten worst (two Trader Joe’s locations are also in the mix) in the city. Big SUVs trying to park in a lot designed for VW Bugs (the old ones, not the new ones).
Our Total Wine is great, too! The parking lot is shared with a Uwajimaya, so it can get busy, but not crazy busy.
I’m monitoring the Nordstrom sale. The boots I wanted are sold out in my size, but there’s always hope someone will return a pair.
We had never been to this shopping center, but the lot is huge and the only store nearby is Living Spaces. It’s further out than most of the shopping we do, but not really all that far. Then we stopped at a HomeGoods/TJMaxx way over on the other side of that center because my husband decided he had to get a pillow. That was harder parking! Personally I try never to go into these stores in the second half of December but there we were. Then we stopped at Bed Bath because he wanted to see if there were any Chanukah candles on sale - like in the olden days. Nope. Then we stopped at the upscale mall to get a sieve at Sur la Table because nothing online was right and he wanted to see it in person. I liked it and bought it at full price . Good thing he did all the driving!
Yesterday I finally made a holiday shopping stop at Kohls with 40% off coupon. Not feeling optimistic, I asked about an old $10 credit I had in email, and that worked too. I have another 40% one time coupon which only requires $35 for free shipping. It may be time to shop online at Kohls tomorrow.
I should maybe not admit this but we shop Total wine 3 cases at a time. Watch for $20 off 100 or 20% off mix and match wines.
@Marilyn I will have to check out Total Wine when I go to the office on Thursday (my only in person day) since it is very close to where I work in Mission Valley. Thanks for the tip.
The only Christmas shopping we do is for each of the other two members of our immediate household. ChoatieLT is not able to come home this Christmas, so we did a couple of things for his house when we were out there this summer and at Thanksgiving, so no more shopping for him.
OTOH, I blew the rest of the budget on DH at Total Wallet (like I do most years). He’s getting an incredible cab for Christmas dinner and a single malt Scotch that was sitting behind those glass doors. I don’t believe that anything disposable qualifies as a good buy, but these bottles will make his eyes light up, so I guess there’s that.
I want to buy some toddler clothes at Kohl’s, there is a 15% off on their site. I don’t have their card nor am I on their email list. How do I get these killer coupons and stack them?
I’ve had the Kohl’s charge card for probably decades and have been a member of their rewards program for a long time. And I am registered on their web site. The 20% and 30% codes used to be generic, like LOVE30 and such, but now they’re specific codes, tied I believe to one’s account. And online it appears my latest 30% offer can only be used 10 times. So I don’t think there’s a way to get the big deals without submitting.
I joined their rewards program, but do not have their credit card. Still receive the email (and sometimes postcard) discount offers. So, credit card optional.
