University of Nottingham in England is an option at my son's college for a semester abroad. Is anyone familiar with the school? The website is confusing. Thanks.

not with the school in particular, but I lived in Nottingham for a year as an exchange student in high school and loved it--there was plenty to do, and lots of young people, but small enough that it was easy to really feel like I knew the city. Good public transportation and easy access to the rest of the UK,too.

Overall Nottingham is considered a pretty good university in the UK, but other schools are far better (ie. more prestigious). But one could certainly do worse than Nottingham.

Nottingham is ranked between 10-20 in the UK. It really depends on what course your son is doing.

Don't know much about UK colleges; beyond Oxford and Cambridge, what are some of the others in the top 10?

Bristol, Warwick, UCL, LSE, Imperial, Durham, Bath, Edinburgh
