<p>Hi all,</p>

<p>I am really nervous about writing my college essay and would very much like to hear your opinion on a topic I'm thinking about.
I am an international student with pretty average grades so I'm hoping this will push me through to admission... Anyway, my topic relates to coexistence and generally life in a city and country in which the topic is always relevant. How do you think this topic will be viewed? Is it considered overdone or will it be a good direction to go in?</p>

<p>Generally, there aren’t overdone topics so much as overdone approaches. As long as you are talking about experiences relative to your development specifically, rather than ranting about abstract concepts, you should be fine.</p>
