What are your opinions regarding these colleges?
Please keep in mind that I'm talking about their undergraduate business programs. I'm not sure what major specifically..but i have narrowed it down to finance or management.

You’ve got a very wide range of schools there. To me, UNC, Villanova, IU and BC are the best of the bunch, though Wake, Illinois and Northeastern aren’t that different.

The real question is where do you want to end up after you graduate? There have been a lot of discussions about job chances and various business schools on these boards. There are National Programs like Penn-Wharton, Michigan and UC Berkeley for example, that will be recognized anywhere in the US and internationally. Then there are what I call super-regionals, (UNC, BC, IU), that have very strong contacts and networks in fairly large areas. For example, BC is a strong player from Boston to Washington DC, it’s know in Chicago but the IU network is much stronger there.

The next step is the regional school; someplace that will have a good reputation locally but not necessarily in another part of the country. That doesn’t mean you’re getting a poor education, but it does mean that most of the job recruiting will come from local companies or the local division of a larger corporation. On your list Binghamton, San Diego and Santa Clara fit that mold.

Think about where you might like to start your career, that should help you focus your list.

you have a bunch of the top schools from the business week rankings, it depands where you want to work after school because these schools have great alumni networks in their areas, like BC and Villanova are big in the obvious Boston and Philly but both have huge networks in NYC with a lot of alumni on Wall Street firms
