As far as retaking goes…I don’t think I can get much better on the math (740) but I know I can improve CR and W (670, 610).

If I retake the SAT and get a lower math- say, 700- will it reflect badly on me? I know most colleges superscore, but not all…

Also, when should I take it? June (con: final exams) or beginning of school year (con: won’t know score till pretty late, may be rusty on my skills due to the summer)?

so is a 2030 any good? im ranked 9 in my class out of 427. So i dont want my SAT score to hurt me. I’m not going for Ivy league schools prolly, but def a top rate school

CR- 650 (89%)=)
Math- 760 (98%)
Writing- 680 (10 essay with 65 mc) 94%
Total: 2090
Went up 22(0) from PSAT =)

This is the highest ever score in my school since the format turned from 1600 to 2400 which is totally and utterly SAD so when I told my academic dean what I received, she almost flipped out…

I still didn’t get my scores back! I’ve been frenziedly checking collegeboard and my email…and all it says is that the score is not “yet available.”

I got a 2050
M: 650
CR: 730
W: 670
Bummer…
Will actually prep for the May one and should improve drastically. I forgot about the essay portion (ooops) and only got an 8 :(

700 CR
800 Math
800 Writing (79 with an 11 essay)

hate CR. and i’m good/lucky at vocab (only one wrong ever between two sats and psat). feels so subjective to me.
should i retake to try to increase my CR/math score as that’s the most important, or is the 1500 enough?
second time i took it. first time went in cold and got 600/720/720.
looking to get into lower level ivy (Upenn, cornell) or perhaps duke. Have good ECs (3 sport varsity, E-in-C of paper, decent volunteer work). just don’t want to leave myself regretting. taking act and SAT II (math and Chem) in june.

I am so ****ed off I was like 90% sure that I got at LEAST a 2100…

Apparently, I wasn’t careful enough through math and I guess I made some silly mistakes…
CR: 680 (+100 from last time)
Math: 720 (-50)
Writing: 670 (-30)
Total: 2070 (Overall a +20 change from October…-__-)

A 2030 put me top 3% of my High School class of 300. That is surprisingly rewarding. Now people are trashing the SAT for being unfair, which I agree on since the kid with a 101 GPA weighted got a 1710. All that effort and he’s still going to end up at the state flagship :|
