If you've made the list at least 50 I'd feel rather compelled to give this a try.

Oh wait...I'll still fail.

Modest Mouse
Voxtrot
Tokyo Police Club
The Shins Pink Floyd
31 Knots

1) Editors

4) blink-182
5) Sum 41

^No way. They're BRILLIANT live.
Yeah they were way good live, but overall I just find myself listening to them for a bit and getting bored relatively quickly. Now Radiohead on the other hand................. :)

I can't narrow it down to five. -___-

Pain of Salvation/Dream Theater:
[PoS] Brilliant, thought-provoking lyrics and amazing technical skill, yet they still manage to not sound absurdly pretentious. Also incredibly melodic and therefore catchy as hell.
[DT] Yeah, yeah, Petrucci wanks. He deserves that privilege. Also, they're the band that got me into music. Seriously.

Opeth: Mikael Akerfeldt is a genius. He does amazing death metal growls and has a beautiful singing voice as well... plus he's a brilliant composer.

Damien Rice: So intense and beautiful.

Battle of Mice: Female-fronted post-hardcore? Yep. Intense stuff; catchy; never gets old.

The Dresden Dolls: Also female-fronted, but of an indescribable genre. Great stuff.

...Porcupine Tree, Basshunter, Citizen Cope, Megadeth, Death Cab (lolz), Snow Patrol (lolz), Mesh, 3, Cannibal Corpse, the Shins, Between the Buried and Me, Thrice... yeah I'm all over the place. And I clearly can't do five. See poseurlol's Music Profile - Users at Last.fm if you care.

Wait, I forgot Agalloch. They're probably the best band in existence.

AGALLOCH -- 'Not Unlike the Waves' will transform your world.

I'll take this to mean musicians, so:

Muse
Radiohead
Sugarcult
Christina Aguilera
Goo Goo Dolls

METALLICA!!!
fave songs: nothing else matters, the unforgiven I, one, fade to black, horsemen, seek and destroy, for whom the bell tolls

and the rest...well i like a lot of artists/bands...just not any of the mainstream crap nowadays (they'r bad for ears)

anyway, in no particular order, anything from megadeth/motley/sabbath/ACDC to george michael/elton john to nazareth (love hearts!) and cinderella and scorpions...etc etc.

i think my favorite song tho has to be righteous brothers' "unchained melody" . i <33333333 that song. it's beautiful

The Beatles, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, Pink Floyd, Radiohead

In no particular order:

The Beatles
Led Zeppelin
Queen
The Doors
The Experience

and I love the good old stuff :)

oh and pink floyd!

yournamehere and thuglife rock on

1) Metallica x 22304892035892345
2) Machine Head
3) Anthrax
4) Corrosion of Conformity
5) Testament

Beatles

Hendrix

Floyd

Marley

Coldplay

The Beatles are number one for sure
REM is probably #2
Arcade Fire
Led Zeppelin

After those bands, I really listen to a bunch of random songs from different artists.

Anyone who has Coldplay as one of their favorites and not Radiohead should seriously compare the discographies of both bands and then edit your posts.

Muse
Radiohead
Sugarcult
Christina Aguilera
Goo Goo Dolls

^ taggart, you are my hero. SUGARCULT!

brand new - all the songs off their latest album
rilo kiley/jenny lewis - a better son/daughter
bright eyes - take it easy (love nothing); cleanse song
despapercidos - man and wife, damaged goods
broken social scene - cause = time
MGMT - time to pretend (cliche whatever)

w00t I'm a hero.

It's a shame that the album was leaked because the band changed a lot of the songs and believe the album could have been a lot better.

In no real order...

Dropkick Murphys
The Beatles
Jack Johnson
Moody Blues
Dave Matthews Band
Elton John
plus so, so much more...
