Hi! I'm looking for a public university with a decent engineering program that may have a reputation as being a "party school". Basically, I want to have a great time in college while getting a solid education. I have a 31 ACT, a 3.85 unweighted (4.7 weighted), and am in the top 10% of my class. I will also need a great deal of MERIT aid, so a school generous with scholarships will be great. My parents make decent money but really don't want to spend much, unfortunately. I live in Kentucky but am willing to study in the south or midwest.

purdue clemson or auburn
anything wrong with u of louisville in ky or you just want to head out of state and start fresh?

Haha not as an academic institution but as my name user name implies, I could never betray family and go there! Haha!

Your stats should give full tuition + $2,500 per year as an engineering student at the University of Alabama - Tuscaloosa, leaving a remaining cost of about $12,000 per year.

There are some more http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/1348012-automatic-full-tuition-full-ride-scholarships.html to consider (check the accreditation listings at [ABET -](http://www.abet.org) to see which engineering majors are offered).

University of Florida has a stellar engineering program and it’s known for having a solid party scene too. I have friends that go to UF now and they love it.
