Yeah yeah yeah, rankings don’t mean a darned thing. I agree, no need to tell me.
But here’s the most recent QS World University rankings. QS World University Rankings 2022: Top Global Universities | Top Universities
Three words: suck it, Princeton!
(Please know, I am just extra punchy tonight. Don’t take me seriously).

Not surprisingly Brit-centric. Imperial and UCL are top universities but I don’t think they outdo Princeton or UChicago. And Berkeley at #32 makes no sense.
Yes, you are right, QS Rankings might be the very worst college ranking system.
In order to compare colleges across so many countries with so many different circumstances, QS ranking criteria ends up being superficial at best.
How can anyone take QS rankings seriously across different countries when the rankings within any particular country makes no sense at all? Garbage in, Garbage out.

Thank you for listing to make my point very apparent.

Obviously there is a heavy research and grad school focus to the list.
We could quibble with the precise rank ordering - not that it matters that much - but the top 20 in the US look about right to me.
Not according to Wall Street ranking.
I’m thinking Cornell and Michigan should be flip-flopped.
100% agree and actually exactly what I was thinking when I read though it.

WSJ has the same 20 U.S. schools in its T20, different order. Different pubs rearrange the same 20 U.S. schools over and over again, and call it new and different.
