shrinkrap, did my post in the other thread go into enough detail?

hannah, i personally like the social life, sometimes it feels a bit small and like you see the same people. 99% of the time I love it though. There are parties every weekend (and sometimes during the week, I've partied on weekdays when I didn't have class the next day) but it's easy to stay in and study if you need to, everyone understands that there is alot of work to do at Oxy. There are also a trillion clubs to be a part of it, I want to do so much but just can't cram it all in. The dorms are also really nice, everyone hangs out in them and you have a sense of community, especially now that they house all first years together.

Hey! My name is Lindsey! I am a senior in Ca, and LOVE Oxy. I am a prospy recuit for xc and would double major in kinesology and psychobiology....(hopefully)

I have been up there like 3 times, but i keep forgetting to ask students- Are there any suites? for freshman?

And is it my imagination or is there a new building being built with a new gym and living areas? I saw construction last time i was on campus, but im not sure....

THANK YOU.

Hi!

I'm an Asian guy from San Diego applying to Oxy as a Diplomacy and World Affairs major (hopefully).

Hi wwish! There were suites for freshman this year and last year (I'm a sophomore, so I'm not sure about the time period before that), but I don't think there will be any next year, since they are housing all the freshman together and the new res hall is opening. However, it is possible, since they are housing all the freshman together this year and Norris Orange (suite style) is all freshman. That would be a question for housing I think...either way, you wouldn't get to choose it, it would just be luck of the draw.

Nope, not your imagination! They are building a new res hall (called Rangeview, for the street that runs next to it...I think they are waiting for someone to donate enough money to name the building after them, haha) and it's going to have a gym that is open to the entire campus, and there was something about maybe kitchens and common rooms? I know there will be classrooms in there as well. Imagine living in there and having class there...I would kill for that, haha.

Also, congrats on XC, we have a really competitive team! Sports at Oxy are really fun (I played soccer my freshman year).

thankssss letscrshtheparty!

AH, the anticipation of march 15th (or around then) is killin me! Hopefully....(knock on wood)!!!!!

Applicant from India :)

Oxy is my first choice. I just shifted my EDII application to RD at Bowdoin for Oxy. ;)

I am from Nepal and interested in biological science.

Two people from Nepal?!? Is Oxy popular there?

Don't think so. Most of them have the tendency to apply to colleges that are relatively unknown to increase their chances :p (no offence)
