1 Bad Midterm Grade

I applied to transfer to Cornell as a rising sophomore. All of my college grades have been good and I currently have all As except for 1 C- on my midterm report. The C- is in an engineering class and is based on a test that is currently 70% of the grade and will almost certainly be dropped by the end of the course. How important is the midterm report? Is there anything I can do?????

The best you can do is briefly explain to Cornell why the grade is low and hope they understand.

Where did you apply to transfer? Anything below a B- is a red flag to most of the state schools within Cornell; not sure what the endowed colleges would think, however.
