Chanman, have you talked to your GC. Some schools do not have the best GC departments, and students are often not 'guided'. OTOH, some areas just tend to have kids that like to go close to home, in spite of good guidance. Even if your school has only sent 1 kid to an Ivy League school, that's okay. If you are an outstanding student, then your school history may not be relevant. What are your stats and GPA?
Remember too, that IVY is an athletic grouping, of undoubtedly good schools. But by no means do they have exclusivity on a great education. There are dozens of schools that are equally competitive and selective, some even more so, depending on the specific program.
