1 person has gone to ivy in history of school

So what? We've never had anybody attend an Ivy. We've only had one at Notre Dame, and two at Duke. And we never have good Unis come to our college day stuff

yeah.. my school is very good at sending its students to UC Berkeley and Stanford, but no one seems to be interested in applying to the east coast.

As long as it's a decent high school that offers AP classes, it doesn't matter. My high school never held my hand, not once. It's all in your hands. It's a systematic approach to maxing out on all the important things: GPA, SAT, SAT II's. Focus on a few EC's and get awards. Find some teachers you like and get recommendations. In the summer before senior year, start your essays. Buy Harry Bauld's book to help you with that. And that's it.

thats how my high school was. i think only 1 kid ever went to yale. another went to princeton. but there were always the berkley and john hopkins kids.
