My entire 9th grade, I did LOUSY. But the good news I have been on an upward swing ever since!

not participating enough in activities that would like to participate in

not studying as hard as i could

For All U Experienced Ap Students, Please Reply To The 'ap Bio Or Ap Chem Junior Year?' Post... I Need Ur Advice!!!

I regret not going to parties and doing the cliche thing once in a while. Everything was fairly safe. Sleepovers, etc.

I regret slacking off first semester of senior year because i didn't know that my first choice wanted midterm grades

I suppose I regret slacking off completely during my sophomore year, and also not preparing for the Chem SAT II at all.

That being said, I'm happy with where I've ended up.

My Regrets:

-Studying too much during high school
-Caring as much as I did about grades
-Not realizing I was in love with on of my best friends until a year after high school (although that has since been reconciled :) )
-Not starting partying/drinking until just after high school
-Not doing more adventerous/risky things during high school and really just hanging out with a bunch of sheltered nerds.
-Not finding my close, close group of friends until after high school
-Trying so hard to get into a "top" college when really I've never been happier since I left NYU, took a semester off, and went to a local college.

So those are my regrets, probably a bit different than most people here, but hey, I realized that there is more to life than grades and school. I'll take being a B/C student if it means I can party with my friends, go to concerts, and visit my significant other (live in Chicago, I'm in Green Bay) as much as possible.

Not choosing to go to boarding school and staying at my horrid public. Not only were the academics horrible, but I was unhappy most of my four years there.

My biggest regret was not dropping out.
After H.S. I went to a CC where your H.S. record doesn't matter and now I'm transferring to a UC and they also don't care about my HS record.

these are my regrets too, to be honest.
have fun in hs.

don't have fun in high school if it means jeapordizing your future haha. trust me....you'll have time to have fun. try to develop a 'work hard, play hard' mentality and you'll be good. honestely, it's all about time management. i really wish i would've worked harder.

-not enough ec's
-didnt play sports enough
-studying too much, and not having enough fun
-not partying

You'll do plenty of partying to make up for lost time while at ASU next year.

honestly, i have no regrets. i was depressed throughout my freshman, sophmore, and junior years of high school. I really paid no attention to actual school work. unfortunately, i have been penalized because of that. Although, I do not regret my carelessness. From that I have learned about myself and grown as an individual. Every experience, negative or positive, teaches you something about yourself and the world. In the end, you will all be better, stronger people due to the "regrets" you have made during your high school years.

not doing the activities I loved :) (I kind of made up for it this year)

haha. true

Not telling my parents how much I loved them before they died and begging/pleading/insisting/demanding/finding a way for my mom to see me receive a Presidential Scholar medallion in the White House.

smoked too much pot.

applied to to many freakin schools

As I approach the end of my senior year, I realize I should never have taken so many AP classes in an attempt to impress my colleges. Yes, I'm sure Northwestern loved that I had 6 AP's in my schedule, but the personal cost has been far too high. I ended up cancelling two of my AP exams, because I can't realistically study and do well on six.

Don't go crazy with AP courses. I'd say four is plenty for someone to handle.
