thinking i could coast sophomore on smarts since i was top of the class after freshman year. caring too much about what others thought of me. not being confident in who I was until it was too late for it to make a big difference (in relation to girls) realizing that partying was not that important so late that I wasted junior year focusing the unimportant things in life. turning to drugs for a year thinking I could handle everything.

Having to suffer though high school. It took me at least ten years to undo all of the damage and unlean what I learned.

Not working harder in high school.

Not being very adventurous.

i regret not finding my 'niche'.

it is interesting how so many people either regret working too hard and not playing enough, or playing too hard and not working enough.

personally (I am still in HS) i worry too much. about everything. its completely pointless, yet so unavoidable.

p.s. totally agree w/ jeremybeach -- we are on the same page man

Not volunteering enough (i only have like 60 hrs and am already a junior)

Moving in the middle of high school (summer of 11th grade)

pretty much it.

Being too afraid to taking chances and not having enough self-confidence, and as a result not applying for leadership positions I could have gotten.

I regret...
1. Not getting involved in research
2. Not participating in any special summer programs (i.e. TASP, RSI, etc.)
3. Not studying for the ACT

I'm not sure if I have any regrets. It wasn't perfect, but I'm satisfied with it. I slacked off, but still got into my dream school (Grinnell). I wasn't popular, I hardly went out, but none of that bothers me.

Hmm... I guess I sorta regret not taking Calc, I wish I challenged myself more.

I only have one regret from high school: chickening out of applying to reach schools (Stanford, UC Berkeley, etc.) because I felt that I wouldn't get in, but other people with similar stats did. But I am reasonably pleased with the school that I go to now (Cal Poly San Luis Obispo), so I don't really regret my decision.

no regrets baby

I still have another year of high school to fill with regrets, but here are mine for now:

Not doing enough EC freshman year

Not doing tennis freshman year

Not studying for standardized tests

Not taking more AP classes a sophomore

Hanging out and wasting too much time all 3 years (so far)

Not working hard enough freshman year

Wasting most of my summers

Worrying too much

Not taking the SAT earlier

Not taking SAT IIs after AP testing as a soph

Not reading more

Wow...I suck at life.

not taking any ap's as a sophomore (Almost unheard of at my hs)
not doing freshman x-country
not gettting enough community service
too much partying
slacking beginning of junior year (girlfriends will do that)

you know what, **** the partying one. that's what high school is about

not dropping JROTC a year earlier
or not dropping out of high school altogether
that would've been life pathway #2

but if I did that, I would've regretted not doing life pathway #1 where I am now :D so I'm fine with life as it is

slacking off sophmore year. also, i wish i would have studied for the sat and sat 2s better, and i wish i participated in a sport, probably. cost my chance at rice. but overall i am proud and happy with my high school career and got accepted to BC :)

"1. Not getting involved in research
2. Not participating in any special summer programs (i.e. TASP, RSI, etc.)"

Oooh. Yeah. Me, too.
Add...

Not getting a job

Not getting my permit when I first could have

Not doing enough ECs freshman year

Not doing a sport (except intramural) freshman year- I should have ran!

No social regrets. I'm happy with my friends and where I am. There's a lot of drama, though.... a LOT. It gets very tiring and irritating.

not partying enough. also taking ap chem that i got a C in and was bumped out of the top 10 (i'm 13 because of it)

This is going to sound dorky, but I wish I had studied more. Not really so that I would have done better in school, but so that I would have developed a better work ethic earlier on. My lifelong habit of procrastination is something I really should have worked on fixing much earlier in the game.
