10 Colleges Arming Veterans With Degrees

Good info .

The list omitted the Center for Wounded Veterans in Higher Education at the university of Illinois:
[Why Illinois? :: Center for Wounded Veterans in Higher Education](<a href=“Home - Chez Veterans Center”>Home - Chez Veterans Center)

UI office of Veterans Support Services, too:
[Veterans Support Services :: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign](http://veterans.illinois.edu/)

“Thus far, this mission has had disappointing results. Eighty-eight percent of veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan are dropping out.”

That is disappointing.

The picture of Columbia College, Missouri is actually of Columbia University - which, for the record, I think does right by veterans! At least, my veteran husband at the School of General Studies seems to be doing well and enjoying it. Columbia also has Yellow Ribbon, which means he’s not paying out of pocket for anything, including his health insurance and housing.

As a Veteran of OIF I can see why 88 percent drop out. It took me a few years of therapy, alcohol related incidents and failed classes to finally get my act together, luckily I have a good support system, something not all Veterans have.
