10 Reals vs. 8 New

I was wondering how people's practice test scores on the 10 Real SATs and 8 New SAT Tests by the collegeboard compared.

Thanks

Wait, what 8 new sats? I've never heard of that before...

Good question! I'm buying the 8 New SAT test book this weekend probably. Hopefully I will do as well on the critical reading as I did on the old and do like 30 points better on the math with those pesky quantitive comparisons gone.

are you referring to the official sat guide by collegeboard?

yea i think they are. the official sat guide has 8 prac tests.

yeah, thats a good question. i bought the new sat book but im wondering if i should get the real 10. i mean, im pretty confident that i will do well on math, so i dont know if the old real 10 is gonna improve my verbal a lot since the questions are totally different in format.

The only in difference is that analogies have been eliminated. So sentence completions and critical reading will still be valid.

no. they have removed the very long passage and added a few short passages.

"no. they have removed the very long passage and added a few short passages."

I believe the long passages are still there, but the analogies have been replaced by short passages.

Anyway, there are now 7 fewer CR, 6 fewer Math, and 11 fewer Writing questions!

"no. they have removed the very long passage and added a few short passages."

No. They still have the long passages in addition to the newly added short passages. The only part eliminated in verbal is the analogies.

"how do your scores compare?"

I'm gonna take a guess and say by ~800 points :)
