10 Things Not to Forget when Going to College

[quote]
Lighter. Nothing gets you in with a girl at a party better than if she pulls out a smoke and asks you for a light. It'll open up the gates for conversation and sharing a cigarette. I can't think of a better ice breaker.

Except that girls who smoke are disgusting.

GoldShadow, you chauvinist pig! Something something double standards blah blah sexist something something.

haha only if he actually smokes himself..then i'll be happy to go off on a feminist rant..they come naturally to me.

actually a pretty good list.
I started college with only 2 of the things, and ended up having bought all of them (between me and my roommate).

I've been thinking about a Brita.
Perhaps I really should get one.

I always forget floss and a hairbrush.

i showed this to a few people and apparently the extra sheets will come in more handy than i originally might have though...yuck

The only two things from that list I brought were sheets and duct tape

A couple things:
a) There will be condoms everywhere. Bring some if you want but they'll probably give you some during orientation.
b) You can use lighters for things other than cigarettes. Also, having a bottle opener can also be handy.
c) Dear Lord, yes, please bring flip-flops. It's just nasty not to.
d) There's a pretty good chance the girl in the laundry room won't know how to do laundry either. Don't be that desperate. The borrowing of detergent could be okay.
