Is it worth it? I want to be a genetic egnineer, so I HAVE to go to graduate school after undergrad. If I go to NYU CAS for undergrad, I have to pay back about $1000 a month to NYU for 10 years. Is it....worth it? Or is it a good choice to transfer to a public school after the 1st year of NYU? Or just go to USC, which is really far away, instead? (I think USC gives out more FA?)

Not worth it, not practical

Go public or USC if they aid you a lot

Absolutely not. That debt will screw you over in your twenties and you’ll regret it for a decade.

NYU’s Engineering program is in Polytechnic, not CAS - so what CAS major will you study? Why aren’t you studying Engineering in Undergrad? Public schools often have the best Engineering programs; NYU’s is not that good. Honestly, the smart thing to do here would be go to an affordable college with a good Enginering program. Not an overpriced college with no engineering program; that makes 0 sense.
