I saw this on the Harvard forum, and kind of felt a little left out. So I brought it over. Just add on if you want.

Yale is better than Hahvahhhd.

Yale is awesomer than Hahwahd.

I'm a complete nerd so I'm going to have to add a few reasons of my own.

Yale is better than Hahvahhhd.

Undergraduate focus

Science faculty student ratio of almost 1:1

Generous research funds

Great social atmosphere

Gothic campus (need I say more?)

Yale is edgier than Hahhhvahhhhd.

Even though the transfer rate was better at Harvard, I didn't even consider applying: stellar reputation aside, it's just not a school I would want to go to, even at the graduate level where the student-faculty ratio is better. The atmosphere and quirkiness is just lacking imho - especially compared to a campus such as Yale.

It's the only Ivy that actually deserves credit for more than its name (with Brown and Princeton belonging somewhat to the exception as well). I'm excited to go there for the next two years more than I imagine ever being able to feel towards Harvard. All subjective, of course, but that's what counts for me.

Yale PWNED Harvard so very, very hard

^Maxim Magazine says "the greatest prank this side of the Mason-Dixon line since the Boston Tea Party... to the eternal pride of rival Yalies ...and caused dozens of stoic, blue-blooded Harvard men to spit port wine all over their smoking jackets."

LOL

We were there.....and it was an incredible stunt.....so well planned and executed.......

The name-Yale is flippin' sweet!

I don't think #3 is true, can I see a link for that?

I can't find a link with this information, although I am positive it has been discussed in various groups while I visited Yale. Thus I recant my statement, and instead substitute a 1 billion dollar investment into science faculty, facilities, and research.

haha yoshi's post made me laugh...if you guys haven't already seen this video then check it out...it made me feel extremely excited about going to yale this fall...all over again :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kS96hBkego&mode=related&search=

Yoshi when I went for BullDog days I remember that 1:1 Ratio was attributed to the engineering discipline and not science overall (which I think was like 3:1).

Thanks PwnzDeLeOwnz. Regardless a 3:1 ratio is still amazing considering the overall size of Yale. Are you coming to Yale in the fall?

Although I enjoyed my time at Yale during BDD, I finally decided to go to Caltech. They're two entirely different places. :)

No one's mentioned this, but New Haven ROCKS! Most people who dislike Haven haven't gone out more than a hundred meters radius from the campus. Explore it yourself and you'll find what's waiting for you.

What about #13?
