Im a little confused, when I fill in the infrom the the 1098T form. Under the amount I enter from box 2. It asks “Is the amount you entered the full tuition paid” What exactly are they asking?
It’s asking if the school is correct in the amount it reported as tuition. You might have paid for another class somewhere (summer school?), your records might be different from the school, the tuition might be fore a different tax year.

You will want to compare the numbers on the 1098T with the actual billing statements.
It also depends when you actually paid the bills (for claiming the American Opportunity tax credit).
My D’s school bills are due Aug and Dec and we paid them then so we can count everything for 2015.
I was a bit confused that the number reported on our 1098T in box 2 for “amount billed for qualified tuition and fees” was lower than the amount I had for tuition and fees. Turned out that some of the fees we paid were not qualified fees.
