10th grade advice

Hello this is my first post, so i don’t know how to format this, but I’m a rising 10th grader and need some advice on my current schedule.
Quick Background
In 9th grade, I took Honors NC Math 2(97 average), Honors Biology(96 average), Honors English 1(99 average), Honors Civics and Economics(97 average), Spanish 1(100 average), Drafting 1(98 average), Health and P/E (all freshman in my county are required to take this), and Health team relations(Health career elective, and 100 average).

This upcoming year my schedule is planned to be

1st semester- Health science 1, Honors Chemistry, Ap World History/Honors English 2(Paired for year long class A/B schedule, and its a sophomore only class at my school), and Honors NC Math 3

2nd semester- Spanish 2, Honors Pre-Calculus, Ap World History/Honors English 2, and Honors Anatomy and Physiology

My question is, is this schedule doable, or would it be too hard for me?

Thanks for any help, and pls leave some advice for any of these classes!

You’ve got this! This schedule is absolutely doable for you. Very cool that your high school has these health classes that you are interested in. Be sure to take Physics your junior year.

As for tips, the world history will require a lot of memorization. Just stay on top of it and you’ll do fine.

Agree, doable. But as a new poster, we have no idea what sorts of colleges (or possible major) you might have yet. Understand that some “career” related health classes, in some areas, are more aimed at kids who may not go off to a 4 year college or a more competitive college.

AP history may have the dreaded DBQs. just get on top of that early and get help if you need it.

It doesn’t seem to be that big of a jump. I agree with the above: the AP histories can be a bit difficult. But it’s your only AP, so it’ll likely be fine.

Now, if you jump from 1 AP sophomore year to 6 junior year, then that might be a bit difficult.

You know your own abilities more than we do (which is, not at all).

Ok thanks, i plan on taking 4 Ap classes junior year, but hopefully these classes will help with that. Thanks for the help:)

I plan on taking Calculus junior year. Do you think Physics would be hard with that concurrently?

Depends. Which Calc and which physics? Is it 1 or C for physics? Is it AB or BC for calc?

As to answer your question about your schedule, I reckon that since you did very well in freshman year, you should be fine sophomore year. However, AP History can be rough because you gotta know a lot of information and know to apply it. It’s been 3 years since I took APUSH, but I still remember the amount of time I put in to make sure I got everything down for the AP Exam. Be sure to plan accordingly and don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it!

Ok thanks, and at my school when you take Calculus, you take Calc Ab first semester, and Bc second semester. I also think it’s the same for physics where you take Ap physics 1 1st semester and Ap physics 2 second semester.
