12:01 am

One of the colleges I am applying to transfer to had a deadline of March 1.

I ended up triple-checking my application until the last minute and misjudged the time it would take to fill out the payment section. I ended up submitting my supplement and payment before the midnight cutoff but the application as a whole got sent at 12:01 AM. So my Common Application page says March 1 for the supplement and payment but March 2 for the application.

All of the recommendations and transcripts and the midterm report were also on time.

While it might seem as though one minute over time might not be a big deal, the time isn't shown on the page, only the date the materials were sent by.

I would rather not get a sugar-coated answer. After all of this work, are my chances of admission virtually non-existent now?

I don’t get the sense that any schools are looking quite THAT closely at the deadline. But I suppose it depends on the person running the particular office? My feeling, though, is that you have an excellent chance of being considered along with all the “totally on-time” applications.

There is a grace period. Don’t worry. Give them a week or two and follow up to make sure your application has gone through and all the materials were received.
