131 middy 2

do we need to know ALL the picture details??

yes you do. EVERY SINGLE ONE.

Caught you in your own lie. HA. I knew you weren’t in 131 because you asked about it a while ago and I answered you. Batman wins. Dark Knight Rises…AGAIN!

its the small wins that count the most right?

hahahahaha.

and i wasnt actually trying so hard to trick you lol and you DID check with me in another thread if i was in 131 and i had to confirm that i wasnt-so technically u didnt get it on your own…but ill give it to you anyway

i was intentionally trying to make you aware of the fact i wasnt in 131 and yet answering your thread with pointlessness the way you always do with my threads. this must be really confusing for random people reading this lol.

random people who are taking this midterm tomorrow***

not tomorrow. wednesday

lol. you guys are so weird.

on a more serious note…no, you don’t have to know everything on all the pictures. I’m pretty sure he will only test on any of the text he puts up. But obviously, the pictures have a lot of those and are useful for visualizing stuff.

hot damn. so those pictures with all the labels are not required…just the bold and text? The first midterm I was hustling to memorize EVERYTHING and now I don’t remember what his test is like …

Well, there will be stuff on the pictures that is tested, but only if he wrote text about it. Anything you see in the pictures that is never discussed in words on another slide should not be on the test. I foresee that the average for this midterm is going to be lower than the first. How the heck are we supposed to study for Diamond’s section? The notes seem so random.

Yeah honestly, I was reviewing her notes and I was thinking to myself, man I think I’d rather take Carlson over her even if I hate powerpoint. And her drawings suck. lol Not to be mean or anything but I feel it’s hard to learn anatomy if I don’t have actual or computer drawn pictures in front of me.

But thanks though JB. Appreciate the help; are you in lab beteedubs

Nope, not in lab (thank goodness). Not pre-med (also thank goodness). I’m taking 131 because I thought it’d a be a fun GPA booster. So far so good  Oh and it works for requirement group C for IB too I guess. Are you in lab? My roommate’s in it, and she freaks out about it every week.

why does she freak out? i’m not in lab but i kind of want to take it for kicks. don’t we get to work with a cadaver?

I don’t know, she’s just kind of like that. She’s a little bit type-A with her grades. I think it’s funny. Yeah, you get to work with cadavers and stuff. I’m not sure what exactly that entails though (if it’s actually doing stuff, or just looking at already prepped cadavers).

You’re taking IB 160 too right? How’s that going for ya?

terrible. i don’t like that class at all. lol padian was fun and definitely a good lecturer, but this second section has absolutely been killer…i can only hope the third is better and the weekly assignments are so pointless. I feel angry having to waste my printer ink and paper on them.
what are you taking? i didn’t know you were ib

Yeah. It’s definitely become one of my harder classes. I feel like it should be curved, but the average for the 1st midterm was 80, which was higher than I expected. These equations for the second section are absolutely nuts! I liked the evolution section of bio 1b, but this is ridiculous.

This semester I’m taking IB 131, IB 160, IB 144 (animal behavior), and physics 8b. Next semester I am taking IB 174/L (ornithology) and HOPEFULLY IB 173/L (mammalogy). I’m on the waitlist for 173/L. You?

Oh snaps I didn’t know you were in 160 too! Yeah I didn’t even beat the average, but I take blame for that lol. I don’t even know how Ellen is going to test us; those questions are indeed mind blowing. tsk tsk

taking physio and enviro tox. i wanted to take human repro, but it needs…physio? i’m never sure about prereqs. like what happens if we don’t have it?

I can’t answer a single one of those practice questions. Not a good sign. How strict they are about pre-reqs depends on the class. If you can get into 140 without needing to waitlist then I think you should be fine. It doesn’t seem like a class that would need a definitive pre-req. I mean, how often is a pre-req actually enforced? I might take 140 too if my schedule doesn’t work out, and I need more units.

Yeah I don’t really know. I mean classes like Bio 1a had strict prereqs, but most classes don’t have them I don’t think…Wondering if i can get into 140 though. I think Carlson would be an interesting lecturer when it’s not such a general class like human anatomy

What I hate is the switch between words. Inferior and caudal. Why not stay consistent and just pick one.
