I agree with that. It is even more the case with schools like Michigan and Stanford because they have a huge number of athletes.

i am out of luck..

well i mean it's not like something i've never known before..
it's more like i knew everything doesnt seem to be possible, but still believed in nothing is impossible and just throwing some money off the bridge

oh for people who's saying 1300 is wonderful and all.
i know i got better scores than most of my peers
but i also realize that admissions to very selective schools are aweful harder than getting 1300 on SAT

life sucks and if you're not brave enough, you gotta keep living

to icyfire:

It sounds like you and I have almost the exact same grades, test scores, and EC's. I'm applying to Dartmouth and hope to get in, but it's anybody's guess as to whether I'll get in. I probably will get rejected from Harvard/Yale, but have a shot at my other schools.

Do you have a hook at all? One of my main EC's is playing the French horn, little things like that can sometimes make all the difference, one of the Admissions officers at Yale said one year they needed trumpet players and admitted almost every trumpet player who applied.

Best of luck w/Cornell, though. I'm not really familiar with the school, but I'd certainly say you have a chance of getting in, and would have no problem handling the coursework.
