14 or 17 units for a first semester sophomore?

I took 13 and 14 units my freshman year. I have a learning disability and some mental health issues that I am much more capable of dealing with than I was this time last year, but I don’t know if I’m getting myself into too much taking 17 units when I’ve gone rather light before. I will also have a part time job.
So far I’m taking stats, spanish, and an upper div environmental philosophy course (13 units) and a decal (14). Should I add a chicano studies class that sounds interesting and take it pass/no pass, or just I stick with what I know?

Were the 13-14 unit semesters last year composed of similar type of courses, and what did you think of the workload?

Note that if you continue to average 13-14 units per semester, it will take you nine semesters instead of eight to graduate, unless you came in with lots of credit from AP or college courses taken while in high school.
