1500 characters for EACH short answer or for all the of them combined?

<p>I'm confused. When i first read the supplement question: Please respond to each of the following questions using a maximum of 1,500 characters in the space provided.</p>

<p>I thought it meant a max of 1500 for ALL of these short answers COMBINED. so roughly 500 for each question.</p>

<p>However, when entering my answers on the common app, it says 1500 characters for each short answer question...Can someone clear this up for me? Thanks.</p>
