Is it good for ivies or should she retake SAT
One thing bothers me her flipping of scores in two sittings. I don’t want them to think she focused on one section at at time.
Advice?
I doubt they will think anything about the score flip, because it is not as though she really could have blown off one section and spent extra time on the other. It would defeat the whole purpose of superscoring if schools started second-guessing and micro-managing those sorts of things, in which case it would be far easier for them just to take your highest single sitting and be done with that.
Since your DD has perfect GPA 4.5 in IB curriculum, she definitely has room to improve test scores. I would avoid the 3rd time SAT before taking ACT 1-2 times and at the meantime prepare for math and another 1-2 subject SAT
@KAA123 It seems like her extracurriculars are strong, and that you are aiming for top colleges. In this case, make sure the college you’re applying to does indeed allow for superscoring. Many top schools dont.
@KAA123 don’t retake unless she wants to go to a UC, then retaking is probably a good idea. However, most schools will just see her superscore and be fine with it. A 1550 is basically the same as a 1600.
