Hey guys c:

So I took the SAT earlier this month and found out I got a 1660... that's not what I wanted. I want to get an 1800 or higher if possible in November when I take the SAT again. I didn't really take the SAT seriously since I didn't prepare for it at all... I didn't even know the format of the test.

I wanted to know if anyone on here had some suggestions as to what I should do if I want to increase my scores significantly by November.

Should I get the blue book from the college board? Look into any good study plans?

Anything would help guys, thanks for your help

For Critical Reading, Direct Hits always comes highly recommended.

I used ALEKS Mastery of SAT Math (an online program) and my score went up more than 100 points in that section. I’m now using Gruber’s and Dr. Chung’s.

Do a Google search for SAT grammar for the writing section and also read the guide on this forum for how to write a 12 essay.

Practice tests are very important. Definitely get the blue book.

Thank you so much for the help

I got a 1620 in March and a 2030 in June.

You just need to focus on each section separately, like if you got 700’s on two sections and 500 on one section forget about taking the whole practice test and just take a bunch of practice tests omitting everything but your weakness.

A 1660 for no preparation is pretty good, you can definitely go to 1800 and beyond from getting prep. It’s the little things that matter too, grammar concepts, your physical well-being on the day of the test and your vocabulary. And to emphasize what bachoff said, the BLUEBOOK will be your best friend in tracking your improvement. Just remember to save the first three tests until the month of the SAT.

Thanks guys

Anymore suggestions?
