<p>I agree with kyledavid80 on this actually. Though a 2180 isn't as strong as a 2300+, you'd be surprised at the results from years past. Browse through any Official Results Thread of a top school and you will realize that colleges do, in fact, see more in an application than test scores. You can't say "given that everything else is the same a higher test scorer will get in over a lower one" because no two applications are EXACTLY the same, unless you and a friend planned it that way. Now, to score higher will certainly help, shown through the relative acceptance rates of 2300+ versus 2100-2290, but you can't rule out any one application because of a "poor" test score.</p>
