My mother has a Masters degree, but my father is a high school graduate. Does this have any advantage for me at all? Like...would the colleges view me as first generation college....? i also have two siblings who are in UCSD. how does that affect me?

"My mother has a Masters degree"

There is your answer.

Lol. point taken. But still, does the fact that my father only has a HS diploma boost my chances at all?

"First generation" is a broad phrase, but the intention is to identify kids who have not had the benefits of a college educated parent, or perhaps from a family or community setting where sending kids off to college is uncommon, not part of the culture. Does that describe your background? If it does, you still can't claim to be 1st generation college, because you're not... but it helps sometimes to think of these questions in terms of their obvious intention.
