2.5 GPA could i eventually get into Physical therapy school?

As of now i am going to a community college and am thinking of transferring out to an exercise science 3+3 Physical therapy program. In order to get into the physical therapy program you have to have a 3.0 GPA at least. I am guessing once i transfer i'll be a sophmore at the school. would love to hear some opinions or maybe other options. Thanks!

They list a minimum requirement for a reason. And a 2.5 is quite a bit off of a 3.0. It’d be hard to talk your way into it. PT is a very academically rigorous path.

i clearly said that i would be going into the school as a sophmore in the exercise science degree. but thanks for the smart remarks anyways.

The 2.5 GPA will most likely prevent you from getting into a PT program. Courses are extremely demanding, and they want to be sure that students can keep up.

Maybe you can consider becoming a PT assistant and going back to school after a few years to get the doctrate for PT?

If you cant have success in undergrad work, you will NOT be able to survive in Physical therapy school. So raise that GPA to a 3.5, and you’re good.

transfers are also not allowed to enter the 3+3 program…at least based on what iv read and heard
