I was planning on doing AP Chemistry during my upcoming junior year, but I feel as though I will not be very successful in the class without a solid chemistry foundation, so I decided I will take AP Physics. But, I also want a chemistry background before I do AP Chemistry, which I plan on doing senior year. Would this be attainable?
My schedule next year will definitely be
AP English Language
AP US History
Advanced Math (1st sem H Math Analysis/2nd sem AP Calc A)
AP Physics
Volleyball
Academic Decathlon
I am confident I can pull all A’s (hopefully) but I do not know if taking two science courses would severely burden me.
Would having AP Physics and Honors Chem in the same year be attainable? Has anyone ever doubled up on two science courses? Thanks.
I’m assuming you’ll be taking AP physics I, in which case I do believe your schedule(w/chem) is doable, hard, but doable.
@QuadMaster Yes, AP Physics I. And thanks!
Mhm. You’re making the smart choice, you should not take AP Chem/AP Bio/AP Physics C w/o an intro class. Best of luck to you next year and I hope everything works out.
Personally, I have not doubled up on a science but have friends that have. I agree with @QuadMaster . It’s challenging, but doable.
I doubled up on sciences. Definitely doable. Put in the necessary work and you should be fine!
@QuadMaster Yes, I think so too. @skieurope Thanks! @auggie104 Thanks! Which courses did you take?
My sister did and she was fine. Next year (junior year) I’m going to do what you may do, but reversed- AP chem and hn physics
Nice! Good luck! @iamnotironman
As long as it’s not AP but only Honors Chemistry, it’s pretty doable.
Btw, do you only get .5 credit in AP Calc AB?
I believe we get the full credit, because I’m doing an accelerated class so we finish the material. @Giovuhnni
